# What is tukan?

[tukan's platform](https://app.tukanmx.com/) allows analysts to easily create customized [queries](https://docs.tukanmx.com/getting-started/tukan-101/2.-queries) to hundreds of datasets and directly connect them to their preferred analysis tools, such as: Excel, Python, Google Sheets, or Power BI.

Our goal is to help analysts collect the data they need as easily as possible; so that they can focus on what matters most. **The analysis**.

### What type of data is available?

Most of our datasets come from Mexican public sources such as: CNBV, INEGI, Banxico, etc.&#x20;

However, we are constantly adding data to our platform **based on our client's feedback and requirements**; if there's a specific data suggestion that you wish to make, you can do so [here](https://tukandata.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/1/group/1/create/12).

You can immediately browse thorugh our catalog upon sign-up (for free). However, some datasets might be locked for our premium users.

### What do I need to access the data?

You can create an account for free here. However, this will only give you access to a **fraction** of our catalog.

Aside from our open datasets you can additionally purchase access to a monthly or yearly license to our platform. The subscription can be purchased directly through the app.
